Due to COVID-19, the following operational changes have been put into place temporarily for Bay Beach (also known as Crystal Beach):
The following rules apply to patrons visiting Bay Beach during business hours:
Bay Beach (also known as Crystal Beach) is closed to anyone without a Fort Erie Resident or Licensed Short-term Rental Guest season pass.
Resident season pass holders and Licensed Short-term Rental Guests can gain access to Bay Beach daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. , starting Friday, June 26.
A paid security company, beach staff and bylaw enforcement (casual) will be on the beach during beach hours.
Only 2,000 people will be allowed on Bay Beach each day with no exceptions.
Anyone trying to access Bay Beach without a 2020 Resident Season or Licensed Short-term Rental Guest pass will not be allowed entrance to the beach. No exceptions.
Upon entering the beach, security may ask for you to show the items within your bags. Refusal to do this will make a patron inadmissible to the beach.
Pass holders will enter through the Erie Road entrance and leave through the Schooley Road exit.
All of the following are NOT ALLOWED on Bay Beach:
Smoking, vaping or cannabis
Pavilions, tents of any size or type, sport-brellas or any material mounted on supports is not permitted
Note: Only umbrellas with a centre pole no greater than seven feet six inches in height and a maximum shade diameter of nine feet will be permitted.
